Rubber O-rings are used in hydraulic and pneumatic systems and various mechanical equipment and components to seal in static or moving states under specified pressure, temperature and different liquid and gas media.
Precautions for the use and storage of rubber O-rings:
1) Silicone rubber O-rings are generally not reusable;
2) When installing the silicone rubber O-ring into the groove, be careful not to twist the silicone rubber O-ring;
3) When the silicone rubber O-ring is installed, it can be considered to apply sealing medium on the groove and O-ring;
4) Try not to open the original packaging of the silicone rubber O-ring when it is not in use, so as to avoid dust attached to the rubber O-ring or foreign matter mixed in, which may cause damage to the rubber O-ring;
5) Silicone rubber O-rings should be kept away from direct sunlight or placed near high-temperature heat sources such as boilers to avoid aging of the rubber O-rings;
6) Silicone rubber O-rings should not be tied and hung on needles or metal wires to avoid deformation of the O-rings and damage to the lip end;
7) It should be noted that the rubber O-ring will occasionally change color during storage, that is, white powder will be produced on the surface of the rubber O-ring, which will not adversely affect the function of the rubber O-ring.
