Rubber Products & Manufacturing

-
Q1. What types of rubber products does Qianlang manufacture? We manufacture four core lines: rubber seals (O-rings, gaskets, washers, grommets, oil seals, quad-rings, V-rings), rubber dampers (bumpers, mounts, buffers, feet), molded rubber parts (plugs, caps, bellows, custom molded shapes), and rubber extrusions (profiles, weatherstrips, cords, edge trims). All are produced in-house at our Haining, Zhejiang facility.
-
Q2. What is the difference between compression molding and injection molding?Compression molding places a pre-weighed rubber blank into a heated mold and cures it under pressure - cost-effective for large parts and low-to-medium volumes. Injection molding injects compound into a closed mold - ideal for complex geometries, tight tolerances, and high-volume runs with minimal flash. We operate both processes and recommend the best fit for your part.
-
Q3. What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?Standard O-rings and seals start around 1,000 pcs; custom molded parts typically start at 500–1,000 pcs depending on size and tooling. Small-batch prototype runs are also available for design validation before mass production.
-
Q4. Can you produce custom rubber parts from a drawing or sample?Yes. We accept 2D PDF/DWG drawings, 3D STEP/IGES files, and physical samples. Our engineers reverse-engineer the geometry, recommend the optimal elastomer, and produce sample tooling within 2–4 weeks. Free samples are shipped 1 week after tool approval.
-
Q5. Which rubber materials do you offer? We compound 12+ elastomers: NBR, FKM (Viton), EPDM, Silicone (VMQ), HNBR, NR, SBR, CR (Neoprene), IIR (Butyl), TPE, FFKM and PU (Polyurethane). FDA-grade, medical-grade and RoHS/REACH-compliant variants are available on request.
-
Q6. What tolerances can you achieve on custom parts? We work to ISO 3302 and RMA tolerance classes. Standard dimensional accuracy is ±0.1 mm for molded parts and ±0.2 mm for extrusions; tighter tolerances are achievable with precision tooling. Hardness is controlled within ±5 Shore A of the target value.
-
Q7. Do you provide material certifications and compliance documents?Yes. We issue RoHS and REACH declarations, FDA material certificates for silicone and EPDM, and PPAP packages for automotive qualification. All production batches are traceable by compound lot number.
-
Q8. What is the typical lead time for production?Tooling is usually ready in 2–4 weeks. Sample parts ship 1 week after tool approval. Mass production lead time is typically 3–5 weeks depending on volume, with sea or air freight arranged from Shanghai or Ningbo port.
